Peacefully on May 15, 2020, Paul passed away at Ste. Anne Hospital, at the age of 81 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Elizabeth, daughters Val {Paul} and Bonnie {Roger}, son Patrick (Chantelle), seven grandchildren, Tiffany, Farrah, Racyne (Chris), Dustin, Destiny, Travis, Alaina and two great-grandchildren, Aniella and Auston, brothers Joe (Mary), Alex (Beverly) and Victor, sister’s, Elsie, Evelyn and many nephews and nieces.

Paul was predeceased by his father Peter, mother Mary, his daughter Denise, his great grand son “Bean” and his brothers Ivan and Peter.

Paul was born on February 5, 1939 in Sundown, Manitoba. It was in Winnipeg that Paul met the love of his life, Elizabeth Prokop. They were married on October 6, 1962. They lived in Winnipeg for many years until retirement, at which time they decided to move to Richer, Manitoba. Paul was a welder and spent most of his working career at New Flyer Industries. Paul enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Softly in the evening, you heard a gentle call. You took the hand God offered you and quietly left us all. The day you left us Dad, our hearts broke into two, the smallest part is still with us and the biggest part with you. For the rest of our lives we will miss you Dad, our secret tears still flow. Oh, how we really loved you, no one will ever know. We will miss your smile, your joking ways, we will miss the things you used to say and when old times we do recall, it’s then we will miss you most of all. You were always there when we needed you, no task too great or small, with loving heart and willing hands, for us you did it all. Look around your garden Lord and when he turns and smiles, put your arms around him and hold him for awhile.

According to Paul’s wishes, a private family service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
