Melanie’s story begins on May 14, 1987 in Winnipeg, Manitoba when she was blessed to Estelle and Wayne McIntosh. As the first born, she became the centre of their world. In 1989 they moved to St. Adolphe, and shortly afterward, Melanie became big sister to Candace.
She attended St. Adolphe Elementary School, and later Sanford Collegiate in Sanford, Manitoba. Her passion for helping the elderly began at age 15 when she worked at St. Adolphe Nursing Home. Melanie’s love for the outdoors extended to camping, gardening, cycling and a passion for archery, for which she won many competitions. Melanie spent many hours crafting, bringing much joy not only to herself but to others. Her beautiful creations will be cherished by many.
Spending time with Candace and Sierra was always a priority for Melanie; going for walks with their dogs was the favourite part of their day. Melanie loved life and was not afraid of a challenge. Her perseverance was evident in how she dealt with her life’s challenges.
