It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joyce Pilon at the age of 89 on September 2, 2020 at the Bethesda Regional Health Centre in Steinbach, Mb.
Left to mourn are her two daughters Darlene LaHaise (PauI) and Patricia Curtis, her daughter-in-law Susan, her five grandchildren Christopher (Catherine), Simon (Kathleen), Heather (Jason), Karen (Rick) and Jennifer (Justin) as well as her four great-grandchildren Stellan, Patience, Hazel and Cassius.
Joyce was predeceased by her parents Samuel (Sam) and Mary (Mamie) Armstrong, husbands Raymond and Eddie, common-law partner Desmond, one sister Margaret and four brothers Elwood (Woody), Gerald (Jady), Blake and Merlin, her son Gerald and son-in-law Bruce.
Joyce loved playing cards and going to bingo. She will always be remembered for her quick wit and smart remarks with a smirk upon her face. Let us not forget her love for singing catchy jingles even though she could not carry a tune.
According to Joyce’s wishes cremation has taken place, there will be no formal service at this time. Her remains will stay with family until she returns back home to her final resting place in Ottawa.
