"How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard" – A.A. Milne

Eric is deeply missed and loved by his partner Danielle Dupas. He is also greatly missed by his many close friends.

As a child, Eric was an active member of Scouts Canada, which led to a lifelong love of camping and the outdoors. Eric enjoyed fishing, especially for Northern Pike.

He had a passion to help others, whenever he would see someone struggle, he was quick to assist, taking the opportunity to share his knowledge.

Eric met the love of his life Danielle while geocaching. Together they shared this passion exploring Manitoba, making many friends along the way.

Eric enjoyed volunteering for music festivals. He looked forward to the festival season every year, he could tell you how many weeks there were until the Rainbow Trout Music Festival and the Harvest Moon Festival.

Eric loved animals and they loved him too. Eric had a flock of chickens, many that he raised from chicks. He also absolutely adored his cats, Kitty-Bro, Shadow, and A.K.

Eric was a cabinet sprayer for Springfield Woodworking, he loved his career and his coworkers. He found great satisfaction in seeing his work brought to completion.

Although his life was cut short, Eric lived every day to the fullest. He kept an inspiring positive attitude during his illness. He kept geocaching and adventuring as much as he could.

Danielle would like to express her sincere gratitude to the staff at Bethesda Regional Health Centre and CancerCare Manitoba for the care and compassion shown during Eric's illness.
