Beverly Armishaw

March 7, 1940 — December 5, 2020

With broken hearts, we mourn the passing of Bev Armishaw on December 5, 2020, at the age of 80. She was predeceased by her parents Tony and Nellie, and her brother Bill.

She is survived by her children, Laurie, David and Chris, and her grandson Colby. Brother Jim, her sister in-laws Brenda and Joyce. Bev’s nephew’s Bryan, Tim and the late Peter.

Bev was very fond of her Auntie Rose, Helen, Elsie, her husband Hugh, he always called her Bevie, and uncle Bill, and all of her relatives.

Mom was a great bowler, she curled on a team, and loved her children playing sports and their interests, she would always put hockey, figure skating, soccer, baseball and guitar lessons first before her spending money went to herself.

Bev had many interests in life, church, community groups, sports clubs and her many friends throughout her life. Bev was a lifelong parishioner of St George’s Church and a member of the Rebeka’s Lodge where Bev formed many close friendships. Also, her neighbors for she seen almost every day and built a close bond with each and every one of them.

Her neighbors from Laurentia Bay, St. Micheals Villa, Park Manor, church and community groups, sports and of course her friends and family were her heart and soul throughout her life giving her such a warm heart and a smile that goes on forever.

Growing up mom had the opportunity to take a train to Rice Lake, take in all its beauty and teach her children and relatives how special all this was, hiking, fishing and blueberry picking were her favorites, don’t forget swimming.

A special thanks to Dr. Kevin Grace and the staff at Park Manor for giving mom the best care and support in her last year. A special lifelong friend in Barb Turczak for her caring and friendship to Bev.

Mom had a simple gesture, if you slip and fall, you get up, if you make a mistake, you fix it, and if you can get someone who’s down on the dumps, out, you’ve done well. A smile goes a long way, a hug goes further.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bev’s memory to St George’s Anglican Church, The Humane Society or a choice of yours.
