William Robert Schellenberg

We are deeply saddened to announce the recent passing of William (Bob) on July 30, 2025 at the age of 75 years old, after a 2 1/2 year battle with cancer.

William was born May 3, 1950 in Altona, Manitoba.

He accepted Jesus Christ when he was 18 years old. A few months later, he moved to BC making it his home. In 1976 he married Linda Penner of Vancouver and they had 4 children together. Bob was fun, enthusiastic, religious, positive, sensitive, generous and very creative. He made a career in Real Estate; designing homes, developing land, and selling Real Estate. He enjoyed making bets with his family; brother-in-law Jeff and sister-in-law Helen when the Winnipeg Jets and/or Vancouver Canucks were playing. He enjoyed travelling, camping, racing cars, and ocean fishing with his family. He was passionate about singing, starting out with his own Christian band, then later being seen at local establishments singing karaoke (sometimes with his son Todd as a duet).

Bob will be deeply missed by his children Michael, Marcia (Allen) & Katharina, grandchildren Jack, Grace & Faith, his brother John (Helen) Schellenberg & sister Barbara (Jeff) Guenther and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was predeceased by two of his sons Todd (1979-2016) and Stuart (1981-2020), his sister Ruth & brother-in-law Martin, his parents Bill & Tina (Katharina) Schellenberg.

A memorial service is being held by the family in Manitoba at the end of September.
