Wanda St. Paul

September 18, 1990 — November 23, 2020

Peacefully on November 23, 2020, Wanda Louise St. Paul, age 30, passed away at her home. She was predeceased by her bio parents Vernon St. Paul and Ruby Meeches and her sister Holly Meeches. Left to cherish her memory are her parents Ben and Val Funk; Brothers: Cameron (Jeannine), Cory (Michelle), Wally and Will; Sisters: Kristen (Jason), Kendra (Eddie),Lisa (Jordan), Layla, Shayla and Jen; Nephews: Richmond, Micah, Caleb, Cassius, Eric, J.j, and Drayson; Nieces: Chenoa, Sequoia, Jamie, Janae, Harper, Brynn, Alaynah and Nova.

Wanda struggled with countless health and autoimmune disorders, but they never robbed her of her caring, giving heart and the ability to make others feel encouraged. She brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. Her cousin Kim said, "you don’t get to know Wanda, you EXPERIENCE her!".

Her pleasures were simple, coffee in the sunroom, phone calls from family and friends, throwing the hackey sack with her favourite dog Luna, going for car rides with her dad and just sitting in the kitchen while supper was being prepared and listening to the clatter. She also loved her Disney movies and her music. Recently she had grown to enjoy our devotions together. They were an important part of her day. Her favourite song is by Jordan St. Cyr called Fires and her verse to calm her anxiety when she felt trapped in her body was "Be still and know that I am God".

Cremation will take place upon Wanda’s request. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a future date due to Covid restrictions.
