It is with deep sadness surrounded by family and friends, that the family announces the passing of Ronald Erwin Sarrasin on October 22nd, 2025, at the Repos Jolys in St. Pierre-Jolys, MB.

Ron is survived by his mother Helen Sarrasin, wife Brenda, brother Dave (Susie) Sarrasin, daughters BreeAnn (Ian) Tait, Lori (Sean) Baldwin, Sherry Bell (Mike), 6 beautiful grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. As well as many extended family and friends.

He was greeted by his father Wilfred, loving sister Karen, brother Eugene and brother-in-law Gerry.

Ron was born in Rainy River, Ontario, July 12, 1949, to Wilfred and Helen Sarrasin. He was the second child of four. The family moved to southwestern Manitoba where Ron grew up.

At a young age Ron began working for Pioneer Electric and continued to work there for 42 years gaining many lifelong friends that remain to this day. Through a mutual friend he worked with, Ron met his wife Brenda and proposed to her at the Round Table in Winnipeg MB. They were married June 24th, 1978, purchased a home in 1979 in Ile Des Chenes and raised their 3 daughters.

Ron was extremely talented and creative, always keeping busy. He spent his time outside gardening and working on his vehicles. Ron could also be found in the garage or basement workshop cutting intricate pieces of wood for intarsia, whittling and carving pieces of bark. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends playing cribbage, curling, reading, sudoku, camping and playing with his grandchildren. In the short time we had with Ron he filled his life with love, laughter and special moments.

The family would like to thank the Repos Jolys for their love, empathy and the great care they took with Ron during his short time there.

Cremation has taken place at Crossings Funeral Care in Steinbach, and a private burial will be held in Emerson at a later date.

Family and friends are encouraged to sign the book of condolences and share a memory of Ron.
