Roger Allen Lage

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roger Lage, who was born on November 5, 1953, and passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025.

Roger was a devoted husband to Donna, with whom he shared 54 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they raised two sons, Brad (Penny) and Travis (Shelly). Roger was a proud grandfather to Kaitlyn and Jillian, daughters of Brad and Penny, and Evan (Teagan) and Zachary, sons of Travis and Shelly.

Born in San Diego, raised in Nebraska, Roger later moved his family to Manitoba, where he built a life rooted in hard work, love, and community. He spent many years on a ranch in Marchand, Manitoba, raising his family and running his own heavy-duty mechanic shop—a testament to his dedication and skill.

Roger had a deep love for horses and spent countless hours in the saddle, riding young horses daily and enjoying the connection and trust he built with each one. He was passionate about roping and could often be found at roping's and rodeos across the region, sharing good times and friendly competition with his family and many friends.

Roger will be remembered for his strength, generous heart, and unwavering commitment to his family. He had a quick wit and a great sense of humour that brought laughter to those around him. Over the years, he made many lifelong friends in the community, earning respect and friendship through his kindness, honesty, and willingness to lend a hand.

His legacy will live on in the lives of those he touched. A full obituary and life story will follow.
