Robert John Woodhall

January 8, 1965 — January 8, 2026

Robert John Woodhall passed away on January 8, 2026, his birthday, at the age of 61, in his home in Steinbach, Manitoba. Born on January 8, 1965, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Robert dedicated his life to his work as a long haul truck driver, a role he embraced with passion and commitment. He took great joy in his travels across the countryside, especially the trips he made to Texas, where he found both adventure and a sense of freedom.

Robert was known for his caring nature; he had a heart that was truly bigger than himself. If you were fortunate enough to be his friend, you were a friend for life. His willingness to help others was evident in his readiness to give his shirt off his back for anyone in need. He had a delightful sense of humor that brought joy to those around him, and his playful interactions with animals reflected his gentle spirit and love for animals. As a young boy, being the youngest, he was mischievous and got away with a lot! Though he didn't attend church faithfully as a truck driver, church was important to him, and so was his faith in God.

He leaves behind his daughter Morgan, and her six children, Robert is also survived by his siblings Bonnnie, Linda, and Donna, along with his brother-in-law Grant. His extended family and close friends, including Marlene and Abe Peters, Brian and Liz Gerbrandt, and numerous others, will remember him fondly and cherish the memories they shared.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Fredda, and his sisters Brenda and Karen.

As we remember Robert John Woodhall, we celebrate the warmth and love he brought into the lives of so many. His spirit will continue to inspire those who had the privilege to know him.

Cremation will take place, and services are being planned for a later date.
