Paul Ernest Joseph Lansard

Mar 4, 1962 — Oct 2, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the tragic passing of Paul Ernest Joseph Lansard on October 2, 2026, at the age of 64.

Born on March 4, 1962, in Ste. Anne, Manitoba, Paul lived a life defined by determination, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to achieving his goals. He was a devoted husband, loving father and stepfather, cherished brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. His kindness, strong work ethic, and dedication to those he loved left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Paul developed a passion for motocross racing at a young age and participated in numerous competitions throughout his youth. His dedication to the sport earned him many trophies and high rankings, accomplishments of which he was very proud. The determination he demonstrated on the racetrack would become a defining characteristic throughout his life.

Following in the footsteps of his father, Ferdinand, Paul began working as a roofer at an early age. During the summer months, he worked alongside his father and brother Dan, learning the value of hard work and perseverance. Together, the brothers carefully saved their earnings to purchase their first dirt bike, creating memories that would remain with them for a lifetime.

Paul continued in the roofing trade for many years, eventually becoming a Red Seal Certified Roofer. He successfully operated his own roofing business and earned the respect of his peers through his skill, dedication, and professionalism.

Despite his success, Paul never lost sight of another lifelong dream: serving in the military. At the age of 38, he courageously enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces, where he built a successful career as a Traffic Technician. He proudly served his country until his retirement in 2019.

Retirement did not slow Paul down. Always eager to learn and challenge himself, he enrolled at the University of Manitoba to further his education. At the time of his passing, he was pursuing a degree in Environmental Design. His willingness to pursue new goals later in life was an inspiration to many and served as a reminder that it is never too late to follow your dreams.

Paul was predeceased by his mother, Marie-Paule Fiola, his father, Ferdinand Lansard, and his younger brother, Dominic Lansard.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Jeannette Lansard (née Alarie); his daughter, Ciel Lansard; his stepsons, Serge (Kayla), Mario (Melanie), Colin, and Patrick (Nathalie); his brother, Dan Lansard (Sue); his sister-in-law, Amy Lansard-Kendrick (Glenn); his brother-in-law, Raymond Alarie (Diane); and his sister-in-law, Jeanne Remillard (Marc). He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Joel (Francine), Janelle (Matthew), Jordi (Bianka), Jaide, and Sage (Gray), as well as many uncles, aunties, extended family members, and dear friends.

Paul's life was a testament to perseverance, courage, and lifelong learning. Whether racing motocross, building roofs, serving his country, or pursuing a university degree later in life, he approached every challenge with determination and pride. His example continues to inspire all who knew him.

Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, the memories he created, the lessons he taught, and the love he shared will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

Forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
