Mary Theresa Kennedy

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mary Kennedy on September 21, 2026, following a brief battle with cancer. Mary passed peacefully with her family by her side.

Mary was predeceased by her parents, Gerald and Jacqueline Searle; her brothers, Frank and David; and her beloved husband, Gerard Kennedy.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Amanda (Rob) and Shayla; her sisters, Catherine and Jaqueline (Joe); and her grandchildren, Jordan, Taliyah, Zach, Xavier, and Quintin, who brought great joy and love into her life.

Mary enjoyed travelling, spending time with family, and sharing dinners and fellowship with the local church community she attended. She treasured the experiences and connections she made throughout her life and will be remembered for the love she had for those closest to her.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and aides at Ste. Anne Hospital for the compassionate care and support they provided to Mary during her final days.

A special thank you is also extended to her dear friend Ellen for her kindness, support, and visits, which meant so much to Mary and her family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba in Mary’s memory.

Mary will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all those whose lives she touched.

Rest peacefully, Mom. You are loved and will never be forgotten.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at 11:00 am at Crossings Funeral Care, Steinbach, Manitoba.
