In Loving Memory of Marie Blanche Adams
Marie peacefully passed away at the Altona Community Memorial Health Centre at the age of 72.
Marie was the daughter of John and Bertha Hart, the second-oldest of six siblings.
Marie was survived by her two daughters, Teresa (Loui) and Tammy Lynn (Derrik), and her four grandchildren, Jashua (Rui), Racheal, Daniel, and Alex.
My mother Marie, had a special bond with her grandson Jashua, whom she loved dearly. He was the apple of her eye, as my mother would always say.
Jashua was always there for her and cherished their relationship.
She was a beautiful soul. A God-fearing woman, she loved to worship and spend time with the Lord.
Mom was a Classy lady with her fashion and bling, often turning heads as she walked by.
When she underwent her Gammaknife treatment at HSC in mid-January, the head doctor remarked that she was the best-dressed patient he had ever seen.
When my mother visited, we would go shopping together. She would go one way, and I would go the other, and when we met, we would have the same purse and clothes in our carts. It showed me that I am my mother’s daughter.
She was confident and gracious, always sharing her faith with those she met.
In her final months, my mother battled cancer and was placed in palliative care in a beautiful, large room with many windows. She had her candles and worship music to share with friends and family as she endured the presence of the Lord. Some friends came to offer their support, but they left inspired.
She had a lot of company on a weekly basis. Her nurses joked that they were entering a church rather than a hospital room.
A sincere heartfelt thank you to the Dr’s and, nurses and staff of the Altona Hospital for the exceptional care and kindness you showed to my Mom during those difficult days!
A special “ Thank you” to her doctor, Dr Ayesha. Thank you for your kindness and care you showed her over the last 6 months!.
We also want to acknowledge ALL her friends from the church and bible study who came to care and support Mom during these difficult months!
Thank you for your love and care!
Thank you, Mom, for your grace and loving ways. We will always love you and will be deeply missed.
