Margaret Shirley Laurie

Sadly and suddenly, on August 12, 2025, Margaret Shirley Laurie (nee Bednar) passed away peacefully in her sleep.

She leaves behind her loving husband Richard Laurie of 52 years and her two beautiful children, Jeff and Gayle, as well as her brother Stanley, sister Janet, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.

She will be greatly missed. To know her was to love her, and all who had the joy of knowing her are better for it.

Cremation has taken place. A private family celebration of life will be held following the interment at Green Acres Cemetery in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

In lieu of flowers, please plant your own - red ones, her favorite color. She was an amazing gardener, baker/cook, homemaker, and the BEST Mom anyone could have had - She lived for her children and her family.
