Lena Dueck

Lena (Hiebert) Dueck went to be with her Lord and Saviour on October 4, 2025 at Bethesda Place, where she had lived for a little over one year.

Lena was predeceased by her parents Aron and Helena (Zacharias) Hiebert, her husband Peter Dueck of 53 years and 11 months, her youngest son Andreas, 8 sisters and 3 brothers.

Lena leaves to mourn her passing her two sons, Daniel (Anna) and Elmer, one daughter Esther, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 7 brothers and one sister.

Mother came to Canada in 1980 with her husband Peter and their four children. Lena worked at Granny’s for several years and then at Rest Haven for 20 years when she took early retirement.

Mother had a hard life in Paraguay and worked hard here in Canada. It was always important to her to give her very best for her family. She is at peace now and will always be remembered by many.

Viewing will be held from 9:15 am - 10:00 am prior to the service. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 10, 2025 at Crossings Funeral Care followed by a reception lunch. Interment will take place in the Steinbach Heritage Cemetery. For those unable to attend in person, the family invites you you join them through livestream.
