John Robert Bowler

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Dad on December 10, 2023, at Niverville Credit Union Manor (NCU) at the age 86. Predeceased by his loving wife, Doreen Bowler in 2018 after 56 years of marriage. Dad will be greatly missed by his five children, Randy, Holly (Glenn), Jackie (Brian), Teresa (Rob), Kristy (Fred); his 11 grandchildren, David, Meghan (Evan), Corey (Natasha), Justin (Teagan), Dillon (Jordan), Garrett (Marlee), Miranda, Jessica, Breanna (Colton), Ryan (Ashley), Carson (Haylee); his 7 great grandchildren, Easton, Ashlynn, Beau, Tenley, Oakley, Jax, and Everly; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was loved by his sisters, Joyce Lyndon (predeceased) and Bernice Semeniuk.

Dad was born on the farm in the RM of Rosser to Melville and Anne Bowler. Dad and Mom were married June 17, 1961 and raised their 5 children on the family farm where he resided for 45 years. Life on the farm came with many challenges and fond memories. His time was divided between helping his dad in the field, maintaining his own farm, work, and volunteering in the community. Dad enjoyed many activities such as curling, bowling, fishing and especially golfing in which he achieved a “hole in one” at the Warren Golf and Country Club. Dad and Mom enjoyed camping in the summer and travelled to many international destinations in the winter.

The family will be planning a service to take place the summer of 2024.

Our family is blessed for the care and companionship Dad received during his stay at NCU Manor. We also deeply appreciate the exceptional care that Andrew Skene, NP, provided to Dad.
