It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved “Papa Snoop," Guy Forest, on Wednesday, July 8th, 2026, at the age of 71. His passing has left a profound void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Guy will be remembered as a hardworking, kind, and selfless man whose love for his family, farming, and community shaped the life he lived. A natural jokester and teaser with an incredible sense of humor, he could always make those around him smile. He loved to talk, talk, and talk—sharing the same stories over and over again. He enjoyed having la visite and catching up with everyone. His home was always open, and there was rarely a day that someone didn't stop by. He genuinely enjoyed spending time with his kids, grandkids, and close friends—whether quadding, barroading, watching les nouvelles, or simply being outside.
Farming was more than a career—it was his passion. Even after retirement, he never lost his love for the land and could often be found checking the fields and admiring the crops. After every good rainfall, he made it a point to call family and friends to compare rain reports, always eager to hear how much everyone had received.
Guy and his wife, Lynne, shared many wonderful years travelling together and spending the summer at their seasonal campsite. Those times were filled with laughter and simple moments that became cherished memories.
Family was the center of his world. He was a devoted husband, dad, and hands-on pépère who never missed an opportunity to support those he loved. He always made every effort to attend ses p’tits-enfant’s sporting events, proudly cheering them on from the sidelines. Watching his grandkids grow, succeed, and excel in their sports brought him immeasurable joy. His grandchildren truly meant the world to him, and they will forever cherish the love, encouragement, and memories they shared with him.
He treasured the relationship he shared with his son-in-laws. One looked forward to Guy’s daily 8:00am phone calls, while the other two got nicknamed “L’Anglais” et “Mon Québecois.”
He was a constant source of strength, always willing to lend a helping hand, offer support, or care for someone in need, even though y’était toujours au boute. His kindness, generosity, and dependable nature touched countless lives.
Though our hearts are deeply saddened by his passing, his laughter, unwavering love, strong work ethic, and generous spirit will live on through the family and friends who were blessed to know him. His legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will never be forgotten.
