It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Grace (Gracia) Adams on July 3rd, 2022 at the age of 84 at Villa Youville in Ste Anne.
Having been predeceased by her parents Jean-Yves and Irene Carriere, her first husband David Adams, her second husband Pat Bulmer, as well as two of her sisters, Rose McMahon and Annette Glowachuk she leaves behind to mourn, her surviving brothers and sisters: Tex Carriere (Janine), Denis Carriere, Lorraine Carther (Barry), Leonne Inman (Cyril), Yves Carriere (Donna), Gisele Robidoux (Marcel), Lise Rodrigue (Paul), Yvette Dyck (David) and Marie. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews including nephew Patrick Robidoux, with whom she shared a special bond and relationship. As a child he gave her the name Matante Poukie and it stuck.
Grace will be remembered for her loving and caring ways, her wittiness and her great sense of humour. She always loved a good laugh.
Grace was born in Southern Manitoba but spent a large part of her adult life in British Columbia. She developed a fondness for the ocean, the mountains and the more temperate weather. After the passing of her late husband Pat, she decided to move back to Southern Manitoba to be closer to her family. She settled at the Chateau Malouin in St. Malo for a few years, where some of her siblings already resided and made some new friends along the way. She later moved to Villa Youville in Ste Anne where she spent her final years.
Grace’s gentle presence will be greatly missed by many. The family would like to thank the staff at Villa Youville in Ste Anne for offering great care to Grace in her final years with us. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made Grace’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
A private family celebration of life is being planned.
