Glen Robert Mitchell

October 19, 1950 — March 14, 2024

With deepest sadness, my dear brother Glen was granted his wings to fly free from our stresses here on earth. Glen moved to Bethesda Place, from Dauphin MB, on June 16th 2022 where he was well cared for. He passed after a short illness at Bethesda Place at 3:58 pm on Thursday March 14th in the presence of caring people who said a parting prayer for Glen.

Glen was predeceased by his parents, Edward (Ted) and Bertha Mitchell; his younger brother Alvin (Al) Mitchell and infant nephew Gentry Jonatchick.

Glen is survived by his heart broken sister, Muriel and husband Doug Mackenzie; nieces Wanda Jonatschick of Steinbach, MB and Amanda (Mandy) Jonatchick of Squamish, BC; nephews Cameron and wife Becky and great-niece Scarlett Mitchell of Texada Island, BC and Daniel Mitchell of Powell River, BC; cousins Brian, Ian, Blair and Diane Smith, of Stonewall, MB, also Ross, Ray and Bev Foulds of Argyle, M; his remaining aunt Audrey Smith of Stonewall, MB.

A special thanks to Maryann Bujak, Glen K and Max for the many years of love and care they gave to Glen while living in Dauphin MB.

A few of Glen's favorite things to do was fishing, long car rides and A&W. Glen was mostly a little gentleman, he extended his hand for a handshake, and most times took his hat off at the dinner table.

Special thanks to Dr Alexa Toop, nursing staff Jennifer Klippenstein and Tyson Unger.  Also, Shawna Funk and everyone who was involved in Glen's care at Bethesda Place.

Glen will be laid to rest in Warren Cemetery beside his mother Bertha Mitchell.

May he rest in peace and never have a bad day!!  Glen you will always be loved and never forgotten.

Sincere thanks for the kindness given by Rob Hiebert of Crossings Funeral Care for making everything straight forward and easy. With our appreciation, thank you Rob.
