Gerald David Wiebe

Our beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend went home to be with his Heavenly Father on January 3, 2026.

Gerald David Wiebe of St. Malo was born on January 25, 1995, to his parents Jake and Marge Wiebe in Winkler, MB.

He was just 2 years old when his family moved from Rosetown to a few different places within a few months’ time. Then, in February of 1997, they moved to the town of Tolstoi for two years. They then moved onto the farm when Gerald was 4 years old. He grew up with three brothers and one sister. His family attended Stuartburn Sommerfeld Church, where he went to Sunday school. As he grew older, he attended youth group. He participated in youth retreats, where he had a lot of fun and grew closer to Jesus and in his faith. He followed the call of baptism and was baptized on May 20, 2013, at the age of 18. He took his baptism very seriously and attended church regularly. Gerald bought his own property in 2019 and lived on his own for several years. He met Rebekah on May 7, 2022, and they were later married on January 14, 2023. They welcomed into the world their first son, Clayton Thomas, on December 16, 2023, and a year and a half later their second son, Ethan Chase, on June 12, 2025.

Gerald is survived by his loving wife Rebekah, his two young sons Clayton and Ethan, his parents Jake and Marge, his siblings Kevin, Randy, Justin, Jolene, and their families, and his in-laws.

Gerald is predeceased by two grandpas, and one grandma.

A viewing will be held from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm with sharing of memories & open mic beginning at 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at the Grunthal Bergthaler Church.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am with viewing 1 hour prior to the service on Friday, January 16, 2026, at the Grunthal Bergthaler Church, 101 Southwood Street, Grunthal, MB followed by the interment in the Grunthal Cemetery. For those unable to attend in person the family invites you to join them through livestream.
