Gerry Koop

In loving memory of Gerry, who passed away in his home on the 17th of May, 2026, at the age of 62.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Margot, son Zachary (Courtney), their children Levi and Ellorie, and daughter Kennedy.

Gerry lived his life with devotion to his family. His love was quiet and gentle, but felt strongly by friends and family in all the moments they shared together. He always took the opportunity to help anyone who asked. He worked in the auto-parts industry, first at Canadian Tire, and finally at Piston Ring as store manager up until his passing, where he built a reputation for dedication and fairness with his customers and co-workers. He enjoyed being outdoors, puttering about his yard, and endlessly tinkering in his shed. Most of all, he enjoyed good company wherever he found it.

His absence in the lives of all who knew and loved him will be felt deeply.

A celebration of life will be held at the TC Energy Centre in Ile des Chenes, Manitoba, at 11:00 am on Friday, May 29th, 2026, where all are welcome to share stories about Gerry.
