Gary Willard Rogers

On February 21, 2024, Gary Willard Rogers passed away at the age of 69.

He is survived by his children, Patricia Margaret Rogers, David Wesley Rogers and Joanne Kallie Rogers, mother, Margaret Marion Rogers (Swizter) and brother, Donald Alexander Rogers. 

Gary was predeceased by his father Alexander Hunter Rogers and sister, Linda Margaret Burtch (Rogers). 

Gary was born in Modern, Manitoba. He was the third child of the Rogers family and started first grade in Winnipeg when the family moved there. He attended Hastings School and Kildonan East Regional Secondary school. He was still in contact with his first-grade teacher recently.  

After high school Gary operated his own business, G&B Sales that installed and repaired air conditioners, furnaces, and hot water tanks. He was involved with the JayCees. He was on a curling team and the Sunbeam Club.  With the JayCees, Gary and the JayCees printed a newspaper in his home.  

Gary loved tinkering in his shop, watching movies, cooking pizza and spending time with his family.

A celebration of Gary's life will take place on March 16, 2024 at the Eagles Club, 3459 Pembina Highway, Winnipeg, MB at 11:00 a.m. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gary can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
