Evelyn Margaret Pistun

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Evelyn Pistun on January 8, 2026 in Winnipeg.

Evelyn was born on June 11, 1943, oldest daughter of Tom Williams and Jean Williams (nee Emms). 

Evelyn's early years were spent in the Interlake region before moving to Winnipeg, where she resided for the rest of her life.

Evelyn is survived by son Brent (Tracy), brother Wayne (Christine), granddaughters Cassidy and Carissa, son-in-law Mark. 

Evelyn is predeceased by her husband Edward, daughter Tamara and partner Ron Shewfelt. Evelyn was kind, considerate and easy to get along with. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and beloved granddaughters. 

Over the years, she had the opportunity to travel to China, Europe and the Middle East to visit her son. In recent years, Evelyn and her friend Val enjoyed trips to Victoria in the early spring.

She will be greatly missed by her family, extended family (in-laws, nieces, nephews) and friends that were so kind to her over the years.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the Glen Eden Funeral Home. 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul, Manitoba.
