On Monday, October 13, 2025, with his wife Marie by his side, Edward J. Adams slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus at the Menno Home for the Aged in Grunthal, Manitoba. He was 83 years old and came from a family of nineteen children. He was predeceased by his parents, Joe and Bertha Adams. He is survived by his wife Marie; five children, Olivia, Myrna (Bob), Jennifer, Peter, Garrett (Elaine), and two adopted daughters, Teresa (Louie) and Tammy Lynn (Derrick); nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Eddie loved his family. They had to learn real fast who would get at the butter first. Eddie was living in the bush in a little shack and decided he was going to make bread. He put so much yeast that the woodstove exploded. Even the magpies couldn’t fly after they ate the bread. Ok, he could tell a story!
Eddie was a truth seeker. He sought after it. That is how he met the Lord and it completely changed his life and path. Eddie was a minister. He loved to study and he loved books. Eddie was passionate for broken people. He was a great storyteller. He knew how to make people laugh, he was gifted in music, he loved to sing, and he wrote over 100 songs.
In the last years, Ed had struggles. But the Lord never left him. The Lord protected him and kept him safe. During one of his last nights on earth, he had a conversation with the Lord, saying “Yes Jesus, yes Jesus.”
Rest now, Eddie, you are home at last.
