Donald Joseph Ducharme

It is with great sadness that on February 26, 2026, our brother, uncle, great uncle, and friend passed away unexpectedly.

Donald was born in St. Boniface on June 9, 1955, to Pierre Michael and Lumina (Lena) Ducharme. He was raised and lived in Richer, Manitoba, all his life.

Donald leaves to mourn his brother Leonard (Ellie), Maggie, Kiauanna, his special boys LJ and Trey, his little angels Niya and Mia, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Donald was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Lena, his siblings, Joe (Phil), (Carrie), Deloris (Jimmy), Andrew, Violet (Ronald), Ronnie, Theresa, Russell, and Sylvia (Gordon).

Donald was a man who loved helping others. He spent a lot of his years taking care of his parents and helping take care of numerous nieces and nephews. He was a man who loved the country life. He enjoyed being in the bush, whether it was cutting trees for firewood or picking blueberries with his family.

He loved to draw, write poetry, and even silly songs. He enjoyed playing guitar and singing to his nieces and nephews, but most of all he loved spending time with family.

The family would like to thank the staff at Steinbach Bethesda Hospital and the staff at Walmart, who immediately took action.

Cremation has taken place, and his Celebration of Life will be at Crossings Funeral Care on March 15, 2026 @ 1:00 pm.

Remember me when I am gone

But not with sorrow, pain, and grief

Think of me as a turning leaf

That in the winter falls from its branch

To be born again in spring

And live forever in your heart.
