Derek Frank Fehr

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our dear brother, Derek, after a bravely fought battle with cancer on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at the age of 55.

He was predeceased by his father Frank, mother Margaret, brothers Clifford and Henry, and brother-in-law Jerry.

He is survived by his siblings Sara (Eugene), Dan (Della), John (Janice), Margaret, Valerie, and Brenda (Leon), as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

After many years of travelling to Columbia, Thailand, Jamaica, the Philippines, and many other countries, including 20 years of winters in Costa Rica, Derek spent his final few years in Grunthal.

Family and friends are welcome to join the family for a Celebration of Life at the New Horizons Community Center, 109 Main St., Grunthal, Manitoba on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

A private family interment will take place at Grunthal Cemetery at a later date.
