Deborah Mae Reese

Unexpectedly, yet peacefully with her nieces and family at her side Deborah Mae Reese passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025 at the Health Science Centre in Winnipeg at the age of 67.

Debbie was predeceased by her brother Norman Farden, her brother Douglas Reese, her father Frank Reese, and her mother Bertha Reese.

Debbie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sister Marlene (Vic) Danchuk, and their children, Kevin Danchuk, Todd Danchuk, Andrea (Neil) Milligan.

Her brother Doug's children, her nieces, Cheryl Sokol, Corrina(Les) Abrey, Paula (Tony) Medeiros, nephew, Kris (Vicky) Reese as well as many cousins, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews and many lifelong friends and newfound friends that became part of her family.

Debbie was born on March 21, 1958 in Fort William Ontario. She was the youngest child and was the apple of everyone's eye and a special baby sister to her older siblings.

The family would like to thank the Bethesda hospital staff for their care while she was there as well as Dr. Tash, nurses, Cheryl and Darcy from the M.I.C.U. at the Health Science Centre for their kind & compassionate care of Debbie in her final hours.

We also would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the Community Mental Health Team for their ongoing support of Debbie. A special thank you to Jean Carr, and to the mental health proctors—especially Desiree—who supported Debbie faithfully for many years, as well as the myriad of community support groups that have helped Debbie. We are also deeply grateful to Phyllis, who welcomed Debbie into her home when she first moved to Steinbach, and to Joleen & Landin, who provided guidance and care until Debbie was ready to live independently again.

Cremation has taken place with internment at a later date.

If friends so desire, donations, may be made in honour of Auntie Debbie to MCC Thrift store -Steinbach, or the Canadian Mental Health Association.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Crossings Funeral Care, in Steinbach, Manitoba.
